Many mothers may not go to a pediatrician unless they have cold, fever, or other illnesses. Many do not notice signs of motor and mental delay in children in their first months, unless they have a big problem. The following are the most important signs that you should be aware of in your child's first months, to be sure of your mental and emotional level.
Dr. Wagdy Hashim, Consultant Pediatrics, explained that early detection of any child may be very helpful in detecting any mental or developmental delays of the child.
Pediatric consultant said in a special statement for "Day Seven", that the movement of the child can be observed two months ago and even before the completion of the first year, to note any signs of delay and these signs are:
· At the age of two months if the child does not finish the high voices or follow the eye or head movement around him, or not to laugh to others when he was caressing him.
• In 4 months, the child does not hold his head well or make sounds or not move his foot when placed on a table top, for example.
· In 6 months, if he does not try to reach things within his reach, not responding to sounds, lack of attention to those around him, do not move his eye in all directions, the inability to fluctuate on both sides.
